Essentially, I was seduced by the space of freedom the bank gives by default to its employees, since I realized I could express myself with no other limits than the ones of my imagination. How would you describe your role at Kaupthing Bank? My role consists in analyzing, monitoring and managing the risks of the Private Banking entity. To achieve this, I mix state-of-the-art risk management, requiring strong quantitative skills to implement sophisticated methods of risk measurement, with more qualitative methods. In this subtle cocktail we find the very essence of risk management: a fascinating field, demanding accuracy in the measurement process where judgment and context are everything. What do you like most about working at Kaupthing Bank? I hugely enjoy being part of a team that still remains at a human scale, and where things are in motion. Nothing is taken for granted, since we are building our standards for the future. Being part of this enterprise, within a brisk international atmosphere, is highly stimulating. |
